1. INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE
The AskSome.One Code of Conduct establishes the standard of professional and respectful behavior expected of all Users on the platform. This Code applies equally to Seekers and Advisers and covers all interactions, whether during Advice Sessions, in written communications, or through platform features.
Our mission is to foster a respectful, safe, and professional community where Users can exchange genuine advice in good faith. By using AskSome.One, you commit to upholding these standards.
VIOLATIONS OF THIS CODE MAY RESULT IN WARNINGS, SUSPENSION, OR PERMANENT ACCOUNT TERMINATION, AND MAY RESULT IN FORFEITURE OF FUNDS.

2. CORE PRINCIPLES
All Users must adhere to the following core principles:
2.1 PROFESSIONALISM
- Treat all other Users with respect and courtesy
- Communicate clearly, honestly, and constructively
- Maintain calm and respectful tone, even in disagreements
- Avoid offensive, aggressive, or demeaning language
- Honor commitments and meet agreed-upon obligations (time, attention, quality)
2.2 INTEGRITY
- Provide honest and accurate information in your profile
- Give genuine advice based on your true knowledge and experience
- Do not misrepresent credentials, qualifications, or prior experience
- Honor the spirit and letter of agreements made with other Users
- Acknowledge limitations and direct Users to professional advice when appropriate
2.3 RESPECT AND NON-DISCRIMINATION
- Treat all Users with equal respect regardless of race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
- Do not discriminate, harass, or bully any User
- Respect diversity of opinion and background
- Do not make assumptions about Users based on protected characteristics
2.4 CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other Users
- Do not share personal information of others without consent
- Do not record sessions outside the official AskSome.One recording
- Do not disclose details of another User's Advice Request or situation to third parties
2.5 GOOD FAITH PARTICIPATION
- Engage with genuine intent to provide or receive help
- Do not participate in Advice Sessions with intent to waste another User's time
- Honor commitments and show up for scheduled sessions
- Do not use the platform for purposes other than seeking or providing advice (no spam, sales pitches, etc.)

3. PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS FOR ADVISERS
3.1 HONESTY AND EXPERTISE
ADVISERS MUST:
- Provide advice based on genuine knowledge and experience
- Clearly distinguish between personal experience and general information
- Acknowledge when questions fall outside their expertise
- Recommend professional advice when appropriate (e.g., "You should consult a lawyer about...")
ADVISERS MUST NOT:
- Claim credentials or qualifications they do not possess
- Imply they are a licensed professional unless they truly are
- Guarantee outcomes or results
- Provide personalized legal, financial, medical, or professional advice unless licensed to do so
- Advise on matters outside the Travel Advice category (current focus)
3.2 APPLICATION LETTER STANDARDS
Applications must be personally written and submitted by the Adviser themselves. Applications must NOT be AI-generated.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD APPLICATION:
- Addresses the Seeker's specific situation mentioned in their Advice Request
- Explains relevant personal experience or expertise
- Shows genuine understanding of the Seeker's needs
- Proposes a clear approach or framework for the session
- Uses the Adviser's own words and voice
- Is grammatically correct but conversational
WHAT VIOLATES THIS STANDARD:
- Generic templates reused across many applications
- Content that appears AI-generated or formulaic
- Lack of specificity to the Seeker's actual request
- Copying portions from other Adviser applications
- Applications submitted by someone other than the verified Adviser
REPEATED VIOLATIONS OF THE AI PROHIBITION WILL RESULT IN ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION.
3.3 PUNCTUALITY AND RELIABILITY
ADVISERS MUST:
- Appear for scheduled Advice Sessions on time
- Notify Seekers with advance notice if unable to attend (see Fees & Payments for cancellation policy)
- Prepare adequately for sessions
- Provide full attention and engagement during the session
- Not multitask, take side calls, or be distracted
ADVISERS MUST NOT:
- Cancel or reschedule frequently without legitimate reason
- Show up late to sessions
- Appear unprepared or disengaged
3.4 SESSION CONDUCT
ADVISERS SHOULD:
- Create a welcoming and non-judgmental environment
- Ask clarifying questions to understand the Seeker's situation
- Listen actively and engage thoughtfully
- Provide practical, actionable advice
- Respect the Seeker's autonomy and decision-making
ADVISERS MUST NOT:
- Monopolize the conversation or prevent Seekers from speaking
- Be condescending, dismissive, or rude to Seekers
- Make inappropriate personal comments or advances
- Engage in harassment, discrimination, or abuse
- Disclose personal information not relevant to the advice (overshare)
- Attempt to establish relationships outside the platform (see Section 5)

4. STANDARDS FOR SEEKERS
4.1 RESPECTFUL ENGAGEMENT
SEEKERS MUST:
- Treat Advisers with courtesy and respect
- Provide accurate and complete information in Advice Requests
- Ask genuine questions in good faith
- Take advice seriously and consider it thoughtfully
- Acknowledge Advisers' time and expertise
SEEKERS MUST NOT:
- Waste Advisers' time with frivolous or insincere requests
- Be dismissive or rude to Advisers
- Attempt to manipulate or coerce Advisers into reducing fees
- Engage in retaliatory behavior if you disagree with advice
4.2 APPROPRIATE ADVICE REQUESTS
ADVICE REQUESTS SHOULD:
- Be genuine and reflect real situations
- Be specific enough for Advisers to understand your needs
- Fall within the Travel Advice category
- Not request illegal advice or assistance with harmful activities
ADVICE REQUESTS MUST NOT:
- Solicit advice on illegal, dangerous, or unethical activities
- Seek personalized professional advice (legal, medical, financial) that requires a license
- Contain false or misleading information to attract Advisers
- Be deceptive or intended to harm another User
4.3 SESSION CONDUCT FOR SEEKERS
SEEKERS SHOULD:
- Appear on time and fully engaged
- Ask clarifying questions
- Take notes and listen actively
- Provide context and details to help Advisers advise effectively
- Be open to different perspectives
SEEKERS MUST NOT:
- Cancel frequently without cause (see Fees & Payments)
- Miss scheduled sessions (see Fees & Payments for no-show penalties)
- Be disruptive, aggressive, or disrespectful to Advisers
- Attempt to negotiate fees downward after agreeing to them

5. PLATFORM BOUNDARIES AND OFF-PLATFORM CONTACT
5.1 ON-PLATFORM COMMUNICATION ONLY
ALL USERS MUST CONDUCT BUSINESS EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE ASKSOME.ONE PLATFORM. This includes:
- Payments (only through AskSome.One)
- Advice Sessions (only through platform video/audio)
- Messages and negotiations (through platform only)
5.2 PROHIBITED OFF-PLATFORM CONDUCT
Users must NOT:
- Exchange personal contact information (phone, email, social media) to communicate off-platform
- Arrange payment or sessions outside the platform
- Conduct secondary or alternative advice sessions outside the platform
- "Befriend" or establish personal relationships outside the platform
5.3 CONSEQUENCES
Off-platform arrangements:
- Violate these Terms and this Code of Conduct
- Deprive AskSome.One of transparent oversight and dispute resolution
- Leave both parties unprotected by recording, mediation, and insurance
- May result in immediate Account suspension or termination
- May result in forfeiture of Funds in escrow

6. RECORDING AND SESSION TRANSPARENCY
6.1 CONSENT TO RECORDING
By participating in an Advice Session, all Users consent to:
- Complete audio and video recording
- Automatic transcription
- AI processing of the transcript
- Retention of the recording and transcript per the Privacy Policy
- Use of the recording in dispute resolution
There is no expectation of privacy during recorded sessions.
6.2 PROHIBITION ON EXTERNAL RECORDING
Users must NOT:
- Create their own recordings of the session
- Share recordings with third parties
- Use recordings for purposes other than personal reference
- Re-post session content on social media or elsewhere
6.3 TRANSCRIPT AND SUMMARY USE
- Seekers and Advisers each receive a copy of the AI-generated summary
- Transcripts are available to both parties in the app
- Transcripts are not to be shared publicly
- Both parties may reference summaries privately for follow-up action

7. SPECIFIC PROHIBITIONS
7.1 HARASSMENT AND ABUSE
Users must NOT engage in:
- Bullying, intimidation, or threats
- Sexual harassment or inappropriate sexual comments
- Repeated unwanted contact or messaging
- Discrimination based on protected characteristics
- Doxxing (publishing private information)
7.2 DISCRIMINATION
Users must NOT:
- Refuse service based on race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, or other protected status
- Make derogatory comments about any protected group
- Create hostile environments based on these characteristics
7.3 FRAUD AND DECEPTION
Users must NOT:
- Misrepresent their identity, credentials, or experience
- Engage in disputes or chargebacks without legitimate cause
- Create multiple Accounts to circumvent suspensions or verification
- Use fake profiles or impersonate others
- Engage in financial fraud or payment manipulation
7.4 ILLEGAL ACTIVITY
Users must NOT use AskSome.One to:
- Solicit illegal advice or assistance
- Engage in money laundering or financial crimes
- Sell illegal goods or services
- Facilitate human trafficking or exploitation
- Engage in any other illegal activity
Illegal activity will be reported to appropriate authorities.
7.5 SPAM AND COMMERCIAL MISUSE
Users must NOT:
- Post promotional content, advertisements, or solicitations
- Use the platform to grow an external business audience
- Send unsolicited commercial messages or pitches
- Share referral links or affiliate codes
- Spam the messaging system

8. CONTENT STANDARDS
8.1 APPROPRIATE CONTENT
Content posted on AskSome.One (profiles, descriptions, feedback, messages) must be:
- Relevant to travel advice
- Professional and respectful
- Free from offensive language or slurs
- Factually accurate to the best of knowledge
8.2 PROHIBITED CONTENT
Users must NOT post:
- Explicit, graphic, or pornographic content
- Violent, gory, or excessively disturbing content
- Hateful, discriminatory, or dehumanizing content
- Content promoting illegal activity or violence
- Spam, malware, or phishing attempts
- Copyright-infringing content
- Personal data of others without consent
- False medical or health advice
- Conspiracy theories or proven misinformation
8.3 ACCURACY OF PROFILES
User profiles must:
- Contain accurate information
- Use real profile pictures (Advisers)
- List genuine expertise areas
- Not make false claims or exaggerations

9. REVIEWS AND FEEDBACK STANDARDS
9.1 HONEST AND FAIR REVIEWS
Reviews and feedback must be:
- Based on genuine personal experience
- Honest and factual
- Constructive, even when critical
- Specific to the Advice Session conducted
9.2 PROHIBITED REVIEW PRACTICES
Users must NOT:
- Post fake positive reviews to boost ratings (especially one's own Account)
- Post retaliatory negative reviews after a dispute
- Post reviews to promote external businesses or services
- Include personal contact information, external links, or solicitations
- Post false or deliberately misleading information
- Use reviews as a tool for harassment
9.3 REVIEW DISPUTES
If you believe a review is false, harassing, or violates this Code of Conduct, you may report it to contact@m.asksome.one for investigation. Substantiated violations will result in review removal or Account disciplinary action.

10. DATA PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
10.1 PRIVACY RESPECT
Users must:
- Respect the privacy of other Users
- Not share another User's personal information, Advice Request details, or situation without permission
- Not use information obtained on the platform to contact other Users off-platform
- Comply with all privacy laws and regulations
10.2 CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
Advisers learning private or sensitive information during sessions must:
- Keep that information confidential
- Not use it for any purpose beyond providing the requested advice
- Not disclose it to third parties (except where legally required, e.g., mandatory reporting)
- Respect the Seeker's privacy even after the relationship ends

11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND REPORTING
11.1 REPORTING VIOLATIONS
If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to:

- Description of the violation
- Name(s) involved
- Date and time of the incident
- Evidence (screenshots, recordings, message excerpts)
AskSome.One will investigate reports within 5 business days.
11.2 INVESTIGATION PROCESS
When AskSome.One becomes aware of a potential violation, we will:
1. Collect evidence (messages, session recordings, complaints)
2. Interview involved parties
3. Make a determination regarding violation
4. Implement appropriate disciplinary action
The process typically takes 7-14 days but may take longer for complex cases.
11.3 APPEALS
If you receive disciplinary action, you may appeal within 14 days by:
- Emailing contact@m.asksome.one with "CODE OF CONDUCT APPEAL" in the subject line
- Providing detailed explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect
- Submitting any additional evidence
Appeals will be reviewed by a different member of the AskSome.One team.

12. ENFORCEMENT AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION
12.1 LEVELS OF VIOLATION
MINOR VIOLATIONS (First Offense):
- Unprofessional communication
- Single instance of discourteous behavior
- Minor accuracy issue in profile or application
MODERATE VIOLATIONS (Escalating):
- Repeated minor violations
- Discrimination or harassment
- Attempting off-platform contact
- Fraudulent applications or reviews
- Multiple instances of cancellations or no-shows
SEVERE VIOLATIONS (One-Time or Escalated):
- Serious harassment, threats, or abuse
- Sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct
- Fraud, forgery, or security breaches
- Attempting to arrange off-platform payments
- Illegal activity
- Repeated moderate violations
12.2 CONSEQUENCES
FOR MINOR VIOLATIONS:
- Written warning via email
- Mandatory retraining or review of Code of Conduct
- Possibility of suspension if pattern develops
FOR MODERATE VIOLATIONS:
- Account suspension (typically 14-30 days)
- Removal of offending content
- Warning that further violations may result in termination
- Possible loss of certain privileges (e.g., can receive but not send Applications)
FOR SEVERE VIOLATIONS:
- Immediate Account termination
- Permanent ban from platform
- Forfeiture of any Funds or credits
- Reporting to law enforcement if illegal activity is involved
12.3 REPEAT OFFENDERS
Users who repeatedly violate this Code of Conduct, even after warnings and suspension, will face:
- Permanent Account termination
- Permanent ban from creating new Accounts
- Reporting to law enforcement if appropriate
- Civil or criminal liability

13. SPECIAL CASES AND SCENARIOS
13.1 CANCELLED OR NO-SHOW SESSIONS
If a User repeatedly cancels or misses sessions:
- First occurrence: Warning
- Second occurrence: Warning and temporary suspension of booking privileges
- Third occurrence within 6 months: Investigation and possible Account suspension

13.2 LOW RATINGS OR POOR REVIEWS
Receiving low ratings or negative reviews is not, by itself, a violation of this Code of Conduct. However, if ratings or reviews are based on:
- AI-generated content (for Advisers)
- Off-platform arrangements (violation of Section 5)
- Fraudulent claims (violation of Section 7.3)
...remedial investigation and action may be warranted.
13.3 LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION BARRIERS
AskSome.One recognizes that language barriers or cultural differences may lead to misunderstandings. We encourage:
- Patience and clarity in communication
- Asking clarifying questions
- Assuming good intent unless proven otherwise
Language limitations alone are not grounds for disciplinary action, but deliberately using language barriers to deceive or abuse is prohibited.
13.4 MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS
If a User discloses mental health concerns, suicidal ideation, or crisis situations, Advisers should:
- Recognize their limitations as non-professionals
- Recommend professional mental health services
- Not attempt to be a therapist or provide crisis counseling
- Report to contact@m.asksome.one if an individual appears to be in immediate danger

14. AMENDMENT AND UPDATES
AskSome.One may update this Code of Conduct at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to all Users with at least 30 days' notice.
Your continued use of the platform after updates signifies acceptance of the updated Code of Conduct.

15. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By creating an Account on AskSome.One, you acknowledge that:
- You have read and understand this Code of Conduct
- You agree to abide by all provisions
- You understand that violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including Account termination
- You waive any claim that you were not aware of these standards
